STB Le Havre kicks off its recruitment with Cédric Bah’s arrival

Cedric Bah (2.00 m, 31 years old) joins Le Havre. After a season where STB failed in its quest for promotion to Pro B, the Norman club has begun rebuilding its roster. First official recruit: French-Ivorian big man Cédric Bah, coming from Vichy. He joins a team that keeps its captain Momar Ndoye (2.01 m, 29 years old) and point guard Thibault Desseignet, who recently extended, while confirming several departures.

Cédric Bah, a warrior for STB

Having come through Strasbourg’s youth academy where he played alongside Lauriane Dolt, Cédric Bah has built solid experience in French professional divisions, with stints at Souffelweyersheim, Blois and notably Vichy, where he played for four seasons. He arrives in Le Havre with a clear role: bringing his defensive impact, energy, and experience.

« Ten years later, our paths cross again! Cédric is the ultimate energizer, a player with a warrior mentality. He will know how to combine his defensive experience with his team-first approach, » declared Lauriane Dolt, who remains at the helm of Le Havre’s staff.

Bah, who also represented Ivory Coast at FIBA AfroBasket 2021 (silver medal), could well become one of STB’s leaders in the paint during this pivotal season.

An acknowledged rebuild

Meanwhile, the club has confirmed several departures. Valentin Bigote, Bougari Sangaré, Allan Marius, Zaion Nebot, William Mensah, Keith Wright and Joël Awich – who returns to Quimper – won’t continue the adventure in Normandy. This represents a significant renewal for the club, which aims to build a more competitive group to play leading roles in NM1.

In this context, extending point guard Thibault Desseignet (1.79 m, 26 years old) was a strong signal. Averaging 9.8 points, 4.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game last season, the former Saint-Chamond player proved convincing. « Continuing the adventure with him was obvious, » specified Lauriane Dolt.

The core is taking shape

With Bah, Desseignet and Ndoye, a solid initial core is forming. The stability of the staff and the departure of many players suggest more arrivals to come. STB Le Havre wants to give itself the means to quickly return to Pro B.
