Roman Domon’s (2.07m, 20 years old) rise continues in the NCAA. The former BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque big man delivered a complete performance in the Racers’ narrow victory over the Indiana State Sycamores (74-72).
The French player compiled 20 points on 5/9 shooting, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in 32 minutes, confirming his central role in Murray State’s system. This marks the 11th time in 27 games that he has surpassed the 15-point mark this season. His season high remains at 29 points, achieved less than a month ago.
Murray State climbing the conference standings
Thanks to this victory, Murray State now displays a record of 11 wins and 5 losses, occupying second place in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), a position that owes much to the consistency of their French freshman. After a difficult period in late January (four straight losses after being undefeated until then), the Racers have since won three of their last four games.
They now hope to dominate conference leader Belmont in Sunday’s showdown at their CFSB Center (8,600 capacity). The matchup represents a crucial opportunity for Murray State to make a statement in the conference race.

Meanwhile, the other French player on the roster, Mathis Courbon, experienced a quieter evening. The former Chorale de Roanne player only played 7 minutes without scoring a single point, but grabbed 3 rebounds. The former Espoirs championship player is having an inconsistent season in Missouri, with his playing time never exceeding 23 minutes this year.
His best outing remains the one against Bradley, at the beginning of the calendar year, with 16 points and 7 rebounds. While Domon establishes himself as one of the most impactful freshmen in his conference, Courbon continues to search for the stability needed to establish himself permanently in the Racers’ rotation.
