ASVEL is heading into August with a very different project from the one imagined at the start of the off-season. After the failure of a partnership that was supposed to bring its budget to 59 million euros, the Villeurbanne club had to scale back, part ways with several new signings, and rebuild its roster. Tony Parker, the new coach, now has to finish his recruitment while also overseeing negotiations for the sale of the club to the Buss family.
