Paolo Banchero delivered an exceptional performance with 31 points and 12 rebounds to guide the Orlando Magic to a crucial 133-124 victory over the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. This win ends a difficult four-game losing streak for the Florida team.

Anthony Black and the Magic’s offense make the difference

Anthony Black provided valuable support with 26 points, while Desmond Bane added 23 points on an excellent 10-for-16 shooting. Jalen Suggs contributed 16 points in this victory that brings the Magic’s record to 3-0 against Miami this season.

For the Heat, Simone Fontecchio stood out with 23 points in just 19 minutes of play. Norman Powell scored 22 points and Bam Adebayo added 21, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the home loss.

A decisive third quarter for Orlando

Down by nine points at halftime, the Orlando players completely turned the situation around by dominating the third quarter 40-20. Banchero scored 13 points in this crucial period, supported by Black’s 10 points. The Magic forced seven turnovers and dominated the offensive glass 7-1 in this decisive quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Orlando definitively take control with a 14-0 run that gave them a 121-104 lead with 5:47 remaining on the clock. Despite a Heat surge that brought them back to 128-122 on a Powell 3-pointer with 1:25 left, Banchero and Suggs sealed the victory at the free-throw line.

Orlando finished the game with 36 assists and a solid 16-for-38 from 3-point range. Both teams were without several key players: Franz Wagner (left ankle sprain) missed his fourth consecutive game for the Magic, while Miami was without Tyler Herro (ribs) and Davion Mitchell (shoulder).
