Mike James still considered EuroLeague’s most talented player

Twelve years after his EuroLeague debut, Mike James (6’1″, 35 years old) continues to earn unanimous praise. According to the annual survey conducted by EuroLeague among the captains of all 20 participating clubs, the AS Monaco point guard was voted the most talented player in the competition. This is another sign of the immense respect he commands from his peers as he begins another season at Europe’s highest level.

Mike James, still at the top at 35
With 25% of the votes, Mike James leads an impressive field of competitors. Already named MVP of the 2023-2024 regular season, he confirms his iconic status. The all-time leading scorer in EuroLeague history, the American remains one of the most spectacular and influential players, capable of catching fire at any moment.
Averaging 24 points per game in Betclic ELITE at the start of this season and 15 points in EuroLeague, the Oregon native remains a constant threat to all defenses.

Kendrick Nunn (Panathinaikos), 2024 champion and last season’s MVP, was voted hardest player to guard with 35% of votes.

Walter Tavares (Real Madrid) was designated as the opponent team captains would most like to have on their own team (25%).

Sylvain Francisco (6’1″, 28 years old), the French point guard from Zalgiris Kaunas, was named best ball handler (20%).
Finally, Partizan Belgrade’s arena was voted best atmosphere to play against, while Donta Hall (Olympiacos) and Tyrique Jones (Virtus Bologna) shared the title of best dunker.
