The Los Angeles Lakers continued their excellent momentum with a 127-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to four games. This remarkable collective performance was led by a brilliant Luka Doncic, who posted 42 points and 12 assists.
An all around Team offensive performance by the Lakers
Beyond Doncic‘s excellence, who shot 13/26 from the field, the Lakers could count on an efficient team effort. Austin Reaves contributed 19 points, while LeBron James, Jake LaRavia and Rui Hachimura each added 14 points. Deandre Ayton also contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds.
This victory comes shortly after Los Angeles officially clinched the Pacific Division title and secured a spot in the Western Conference top 6 for the playoffs, following Phoenix‘s loss to Orlando earlier in the evening.
For Doncic, this is his 16th game with at least 40 points this season, after missing Monday’s victory against Washington due to accumulated technical fouls. LeBron James was uncertain until the last moment due to persistent left foot pain.

Cleveland struggles despite efforts from their leaders
On the Cavaliers side, already qualified for the playoffs, the evening was more difficult. Donovan Mitchell was limited to just 10 points on 4/10 shooting, far from his usual standards. Jarrett Allen led Cleveland‘s offense with 18 points, followed by James Harden who scored 17 points in his first game in his hometown since his trade from the Los Angeles Clippers on February 4. Thomas Bryant added 14 points.
Cleveland had started the game well, leading by seven points at the end of the first quarter. But the Lakers quickly took control, building a 15-point lead in the second quarter to lead 65-53 at halftime thanks to an excellent 53.2% shooting percentage.
The gap widened further in the second half, with Los Angeles leading 86-66 midway through the third quarter before entering the final period with a comfortable 110-83 advantage. In the end, the Lakers shot 54.2% compared to 49.4% for Cleveland.
This victory allows the Lakers to reach 50 wins for the second consecutive season, a first since four straight seasons between 2007 and 2011. Cleveland suffers its second loss in eight games.
