Kawhi Leonard delivered a masterful performance Sunday night in Minneapolis, scoring 41 points and grabbing 8 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a convincing 115-96 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This offensive display by the Clippers superstar allowed his team to take control of the game from halftime.
The Los Angeles Clippers got steady help elsewhere. John Collins chipped in 15 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting night, while Yanic Konan Niederhauser matched him with 15 of his own. Los Angeles put the game away with a decisive 17–3 surge to close the third quarter.
The Timberwolves struggling against weak teams
For Minnesota, Anthony Edwards paced the scoring with 23 points, with Julius Randle adding 17. Still, the Minnesota Timberwolves stumbled again against a sub-.500 opponent, losing for the third time in four such matchups.
The issues were collective and familiar: 8-of-33 from three, 20 turnovers, and just 98 points—only the second time this season Minnesota failed to crack 100. Edwards, in particular, had a rough first half, going 0-for-6 from deep with four turnovers as the offense never quite found its footing.

Ayo Dosunmu, making his Timberwolves debut after arriving from Chicago Bulls, finished with 11 points and two steals. The loss came on the heels of another deflating result against the New Orleans Pelicans, where Minnesota let an 18-point third-quarter lead slip away.
The Los Angeles Clippers were still short-handed, playing without their two trade-deadline additions. Darius Garland—acquired from Cleveland Cavaliers in the deal involving James Harden—remains sidelined with a sprained right big toe, while Bennedict Mathurin, picked up from the Indiana Pacers, is expected to make his debut Tuesday night in Houston.
