Ignas Vaitkus and Noortje Driessen named MVPs: Lithuania and Netherlands crowned at 2025 3×3 Europe Cup

3x3 - Lithuania won their first FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup title by defeating Latvia in the final, while the Netherlands confirmed their global dominance by claiming women's gold in Copenhagen, led by MVP Noortje Driessen.

Lithuania in men’s and the Netherlands in women’s won the 3×3 European Cup 2025 this Sunday in Copenhagen. Ignas Vaitkus and Noortje Driessen were named tournament MVPs.

Lithuania claims their first European title

The men’s bracket featured a high-level « Baltic Derby ». Facing Latvia, Lithuania prevailed (21-17) to secure their first-ever continental 3×3 title. Ignas Vaitkus, scoring 8 points in the final, led his team and was rightfully awarded the MVP trophy.

Italy completed the podium by defeating Germany (22-15). Led by Raphael Gaspardo (13 points), the Squadra Azzurra made a successful return, nine years after their last appearance in the competition.

Netherlands confirm their supremacy

Already world champions, the Dutch women confirmed their status in Europe. In the final, they outclassed Azerbaijan (21-16), thanks notably to an outstanding performance by Noortje Driessen (11 points). With 49 points scored throughout the tournament, the Dutch star adds another MVP title to her record.

In the third-place match, Spain overcame France (21-15). Sandra Ygueravide shone with 8 points, keeping Spain among the dominant nations in 3×3.
