The Charlotte Hornets delivered an exceptional offensive performance on Monday, completely dominating the Philadelphia Sixers 130-93. This victory allows Charlotte to string together three consecutive wins for the first time this season, bringing their record to 19 wins and 28 losses.
Brandon Miller was the main architect of this offensive display with 30 points on 9/11 shooting, an 81% success rate. The Hornets guard particularly shined from beyond the arc and never let up, maintaining a relentless pace throughout the game.

On the Philadelphia side, without Joel Embiid and Paul George (left knee injury management), Tyrese Maxey endured a true nightmare. The Sixers’ star point guard scored only 6 points on 3/12 shooting in 25 minutes, his lowest output of the season. This disappointing performance dropped his scoring average by half a point per game.
Kelly Oubre Jr. was the only Philadelphia player to perform well with 17 points on 7/12 shooting, but his efforts weren’t enough to avoid the rout.
After a still-close first quarter (28-22), the Hornets pulled away in the second period. Charlotte dominated the next two quarters by a combined score of 81-37, building a 50-point lead entering the final quarter (109-59).
Moussa Diabaté took advantage of Embiid’s absence to shine with 12 points and 5 rebounds on 6/7 shooting. The French center threw down multiple spectacular dunks and even hit a long-range shot that electrified the Spectrum Center. LaMelo Ball (11 points, 8 assists) and Miles Bridges (10 points) also contributed to this collective demonstration.
This historic performance makes Charlotte the first team since Phoenix in February 2009 to lead by 50 points or more in two separate games within the same calendar month. The Hornets had already dominated Utah 150-95 on January 10 with a 57-point advantage.
Jared McCain provided a positive note for the Sixers late in the game with 16 points on 6/13 shooting, taking advantage of garbage time minutes to regain confidence after several difficult games.
