Gui Santos delivers one-point victory for Warriors over Grizzlies
Gui Santos hits the game-winning basket with 19 seconds remaining and finishes with 16 points to lead the Golden State Warriors past Memphis 114-113 in a spectacular game in San Francisco.

Golden State Warriors pulled out a 114–113 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, sealing it with a late bucket from Gui Santos with 19 seconds left. The Brazilian finished with 16 points on a night when Golden State once again had to navigate without Stephen Curry, sidelined for a fourth straight game.
A thrilling finish without Stephen Curry
Pat Spencer set the tone offensively with 17 points and seven assists, headlining a balanced night in which seven Golden State Warriors reached double figures. Even without Stephen Curry—still sidelined by a lingering right knee issue—Golden State showed its resolve, executing cleanly when the game tightened.

Coach Steve Kerr confirmed that this injury would also keep Curry out of Sunday’s All-Star Game. Despite this major handicap, the Warriors found the necessary resources to turn the situation around late in the game.
The decisive sequence unfolded in the final minutes. De’Anthony Melton’s basket with 2 minutes 46 seconds remaining brought the Warriors to within 113-110, before Moses Moody cut the deficit to one point with 2 minutes on the clock. Gui Santos then scored the game-winning basket, before Al Horford sealed the victory by stealing the ball from Cam Spencer after a missed offensive rebound by Memphis.
Memphis dominated despite prolific bench
For the Grizzlies, Ty Jerome stood out with 19 points including 14 in the first quarter, along with 7 assists. Jahmai Mashack contributed 17 points off the bench, while Taylor Hendricks recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also contributed 15 points.
Memphis’ reserves totaled 68 points, the highest total allowed by Golden State to an opposing bench this season. Despite this collective performance, the Grizzlies were held scoreless in the final 4 minutes and 17 seconds, after Jaylen Wells’ last basket.
This defeat marks the third consecutive loss for Memphis, which has won only 2 of its last 11 games. The Warriors, meanwhile, maintain their home dominance over the Grizzlies with an eighth consecutive victory at Chase Center since October 2021.
