[Original article] Frank Ntilikina (1.93m, 27 years old) is about to leave Partizan Belgrade to join Olympiacos. The French international, after a year in Serbia, has just signed with the Greek club, a declared candidate for the EuroLeague title, as confirmed to us this Friday morning after EuroHoops revelations.
Agreement reached overnight
Arriving at Partizan Belgrade in summer 2024 after seven NBA seasons, Frank Ntilikina had a mixed year between good performances and physical setbacks. While he maintained Zeljko Obradovic’s trust, injuries led the Serbian club to bring in multiple reinforcements at his position. Already this summer, the Strasbourg native had agreed to restructure his contract to stay in Serbia, while Monaco, looking for locally trained players (JFL), was knocking at his door.
In recent days, Olympiacos has shown interest. Looking for a guard, the Greek club accelerated the process. According to EuroHoops, the Alsatian will indeed join the Piraeus team. We can confirm that an agreement was reached overnight between Partizan and Olympiacos, and the player received the contract this Friday morning. The official announcement is imminent.
Buyout at the center of negotiations
Partizan, who had sidelined their French point guard in recent weeks, demanded financial compensation to release their player. The buyout amount initially increased from 200,000 to 300,000 euros, which temporarily blocked discussions. Finally, common ground was found between both clubs.
Reunion with Evan Fournier and Moustapha Fall
At Olympiacos, Frank Ntilikina will reunite with Evan Fournier, who arrived last summer, and Moustapha Fall, although the latter is sidelined for an extended period. The Piraeus club, coached by Giorgos Bartzokas, still aims for the EuroLeague Final Four, which will be played in the vicinity.
Last season, Ntilikina averaged 7 points, 2 assists, and 1.7 rebounds in EuroLeague over 21 games. A product of the Strasbourg youth academy, he already has 336 NBA games under his belt (New York, Dallas, Charlotte) and an impressive international record (Olympic silver in 2021 and 2024, World Cup bronze in 2019).
