The injury occurred after just seven minutes of play against the Magic, where Brooks had compiled 5 points and 3 rebounds before leaving the game permanently. According to reports, the injury occurred on a contested shot involving contact with Wendell Carter Jr. of the Magic.

Phoenix weakened by accumulation of absences

This Brooks injury adds to Devin Booker’s physical problems, who will miss at least a week due to a right hip strain suffered Thursday against San Antonio.
