The game was particularly competitive during the first three quarters, with the teams neck and neck and a sustained offensive pace on both sides. Neither team had managed to create a 10-point gap until the middle of the third quarter, when Baskonia took the lead (77-67).
Baskonia had taken a 10-point lead
It was precisely at that moment that the Basque team began to falter. Fenerbahçe reversed the situation with a run at the end of the third quarter (82-85), before definitively pulling away thanks to a series of 3-pointers at the start of the fourth period (87-99). This sequence proved fatal for Baskonia, which never managed to get back into the game.
With this third consecutive victory, Fenerbahçe improves its record to 12 wins and 6 losses and will host Olympiacos in Istanbul in the next game. Meanwhile, Baskonia remains stuck at the bottom of the standings with a record of 6 wins and 13 losses, tied with four other teams. The Basque team will face Bayern Munich in four days.
