Courted by Paris, Carsen Edwards likely to extend with Bayern Munich

Pursued by several European clubs including Paris Basketball, Carsen Edwards (1.80m, 27 years) should ultimately stay at Bayern Munich. According to EuroHoops, the 27-year-old American guard is close to extending his contract with the Bavarian club, despite interest from Red Star Belgrade and the Parisian club.
Bayern Munich keeps its number one offensive asset
After arriving in Bavaria in summer 2024 following a season with Fenerbahce, Carsen Edwards made his mark in 2024-2025. The American guard finished as EuroLeague’s top scorer with an average of 20.4 points per game. This performance attracted attention from several European powerhouses, including Paris Basketball, who are still looking for an offensive leader to reach new heights in EuroLeague.
However, according to EuroHoops, Carsen Edwards is set to continue his career in Munich. The extension of his contract is reportedly well underway, excellent news for Gordon Herbert, recently appointed as head of the German club, who can rely on the former Boston Celtics player to establish his project.
Wenyen Gabriel also approaching
Also according to EuroHoops, Bayern Munich is in advanced negotiations with Wenyen Gabriel (2.06m, 28 years). The South Sudanese forward, who played in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, split the past season between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos, averaging 6.0 points and 3.6 rebounds in EuroLeague.
Alongside his club career, Gabriel is expected to play in AfroBasket 2025 with South Sudan, one of the rising nations in African basketball.
