Tray Croft is the first signing of Rouen Metropole Basket (RMB) for next season. The American point guard, who can also play shooting guard, arrives in Normandy after a successful season in Serbia, where he stood out for his offensive efficiency.

A proven scorer to take over from Marcus Hammond

After announcing several departures, including that of Marcus Hammond, Rouen Metropole Basket has found its new playmaker. Tray Croft (6’1″, 27 years old) is an American combo guard who played in NCAA II, has already had two professional experiences in Europe and has gained significant online popularity through his 1-on-1 videos.

After playing for Rustavi in Georgia, then Radnicki in Serbia’s first division, Croft shone during the 2023-2024 season averaging 19 points, 4.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, with 41% three-point shooting for a 19.1 evaluation. A complete offense-oriented profile that strengthens RMB’s backcourt.

After being absent from the courts in 2024-2025 for personal reasons, he is now back and ready to showcase his explosiveness. « Tray is an excellent point guard. He can have an incredible impact on both offense and defense thanks to his excellent game sense, » the Rouen staff said about their new player.

RMB’s roster is starting to take shape around Mohamed Choua, who recently extended, three other retained players (Bouba, Wibaut, Ndjock) and expected recruits like Rosaire Malonga or Landry Djedje. More announcements are expected in the coming days, while the cases of Gourari, Mambo, Kayouloud and Golitin remain to be decided according to Paris-Normandie.
