After a solid developmental season, Tidjane Salaün (6’9″, 20 years old) keeps hitting new milestones with the Greensboro Swarm. The French big/wing punched his ticket to the G-League Finals after his team’s decisive win over Osceola.

Greensboro rolls through the East and reaches the Finals

The Greensboro Swarm, the Charlotte Hornets’ G-League affiliate, dominated the Eastern Conference Finals with a 134-121 victory over the Osceola Magic.

In a largely controlled performance, Greensboro led from start to finish, building a lead of up to 19 points before holding off the opposition’s comeback attempts in the second half.

The Swarm will face the Stockton Kings in the Finals in a best-of-three series starting April 8.

Salaün active in a well-rounded team performance

Starting in this conference final, Tidjane Salaün delivered a solid showing despite struggling from beyond the arc:

  • 17 points
  • 8 rebounds
  • 2 steals
  • 5/13 from the field (1/9 from three) in 32 minutes

Already at 10 points by halftime, the former Cholet Basket prospect contributed to the collective effort of a very balanced team, with six players scoring 10 or more points.

Coming off the bench, Terrell Brown Jr. (24 points) was a key contributor, while Liam McNeeley (20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) also made a significant impact.

A real shot at a championship

Greensboro was virtually unthreatened throughout these G-League playoffs, spending only a matter of seconds behind on the scoreboard across their entire Eastern Conference run.

For Tidjane Salaün, this Finals matchup against the Stockton Kings represents a major opportunity to cap his American season with a title and continue building momentum in his development.
