Thomas Cornely, three years with Élan Béarnais, it’s official

As previously announced, Thomas Cornely (1.90m, 33 years old) joins Élan Béarnais. The experienced point guard has signed for the next three seasons. In Pau, he will reunite with Mickaël Hay, the coach who worked with him during his long stint at ADA Blois, in two periods between 2014 and 2023.
As a player for BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque since 2023, Thomas Cornely averaged 7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 26 Betclic ELITE games in 2024-2025. He will return to Pro B with a club that aims to eventually return to the first division.
Mickaël Hay’s reaction to Thomas Cornely’s signing with Élan Béarnais:
« Thomas is a player capable of playing both point guard and shooting guard positions, providing valuable versatility. He knows how to organize, control the tempo, and take responsibility when needed. But beyond the technical aspect, he’s a competitor, a person of character, loyal to the Club values we defend here. »
