Silver medalists in 2022 and Olympic runners-up in Paris 2024, the French basketball team approaches EuroBasket 2025 with ambition. The group stage, which will be held in Riga (Latvia), will be decisive for Frédéric Fauthoux’s team. Here is the complete schedule and TV broadcasts of their first five matches.

A crucial first round for Les Bleus

After intense preparation, the French will open their campaign against Belgium, before facing Luka Dončić’s Slovenia, Israel, Poland and Iceland. Each game will be broadcast free-to-air on TF1 Group channels, which acquired the rights for EuroBasket 2025. However, don’t expect to see the games on TF1. Like for the women’s team, matches will be broadcast on TMC and TF1+ (the web platform).

First round TV schedule:

  • Belgium – France
    📅 Thursday, August 28 at 16:50
    📺 On TMC and TF1+

  • France – Slovenia
    📅 Saturday, August 30 at 16:50
    📺 On TMC and TF1+

  • Israel – France
    📅 Sunday, August 31 at 16:50
    📺 On TMC and TF1+

  • France – Poland
    📅 Tuesday, September 2 at 20:20
    📺 On TFX and TF1+

  • France – Iceland
    📅 Thursday, September 4 at 13:50
    📺 On TMC and TF1+

The objective is clear for Guerschon Yabusele’s teammates: aim for first place in the group to secure a more favorable path in the final phase.

Batum on commentary, final on free-to-air TV

If qualified, the French team’s round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals will also be broadcast on TF1 Group channels. The final will be broadcast free-to-air and live on TMC and TF1+ on Sunday, September 14 at 19:50.

For commentary, Grégoire Margotton will be joined by Nicolas Batum, Blues legend (177 caps), double Olympic medalist (Tokyo 2021, Paris 2024) and current Los Angeles Clippers player.
