Stephen Curry Out Another 10 Days, Warriors in Trouble
Stephen Curry will miss at least 10 more days due to his right knee patellofemoral syndrome. The Golden State Warriors continue to slide in the standings with a record of 32 wins and 33 losses.

The Golden State Warriors announced Wednesday that Stephen Curry would be out at least 10 more days due to persistent right knee pain. This extended absence means the Warriors star will miss at minimum five more games, after already missing 15 consecutive contests.
A Patellofemoral Syndrome Lingering Since January
Curry is suffering from what the medical team calls patellofemoral syndrome, also known as « runner’s knee. » This condition is characterized by swelling and pain around the kneecap. The problem first appeared during an individual training session in Minneapolis on January 24.

In recent days, Curry has resumed on-court work, which represents an important step in his return process. Team sources describe the two-time MVP as extremely motivated about returning for the final stretch and helping the Warriors qualify for the playoffs via the play-in. He will intensify his workouts in the coming days.
However, Curry himself has described this knee injury as « unpredictable, » having already experienced setbacks since the problem’s initial appearance. He had originally hoped to return just after the All-Star Break, but had to scale back his on-court activity when his knee didn’t respond as expected.
Warriors in Free Fall Without Their Leader
Curry’s extended absence comes at the worst possible time for a struggling Warriors team. The squad has lost its last three games, including concerning defeats against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz, two franchises headed for the lottery. Golden State now holds a record of 32 wins and 33 losses and has slipped behind the LA Clippers to 9th place in the Western Conference.
Without their All-Star point guard, who was leading the Warriors’ attack with 27.2 points per game this season, the team has posted a record of 9 wins and 17 losses. The Warriors increasingly appear headed for a play-in matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Curry will miss hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, then next week’s road games against the New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons. With only 11 games remaining after March 21, every day of absence counts for Golden State’s playoff hopes.
