Joshua Uduje, final addition and international profile
SCABB has officially signed Joshua Uduje (6’5″, 23 years old), a British wing who played for the UK U16 and U18 teams and is currently pre-selected for the senior national team ahead of EuroBasket 2025. Great Britain starts its friendly matches campaign this Friday, August 8, against France in Pau (8 PM), a special context for the player who will then join Elite 2.
A formative journey between NCAA and Summer League
Born April 27, 2002, Joshua Uduje just completed a full NCAA career where he played for Coastal Carolina, Utah State and San Jose State. His performance (16.4 points with 48.4% shooting, including 35.7% from 3-point range, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 31 minutes over 33 games in 2024-2025) earned him a spot in the 2025 NBA Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs, where he played four games in July.
It was during this Summer League that SCABB’s staff spotted him, impressed by his physical potential and outside shooting.
A profile tailored for SCABB’s style of play
According to Cyrille Chapot, the club’s sporting director: « Joshua will bring his athletic qualities to the small forward position. His ability to attack gaps and his shooting touch will be important assets for the team. »
With this arrival, Guillaume Quintard’s roster is now complete. SCABB will start its Elite 2 season on September 19 in Blois, aiming to move up in the second division hierarchy.
SCABB’s 2025-2026 roster:
- Point guards: Al-Amir Dawes and Sebastien Cape
- Shooting guards: Lucas Beaufort and Anatole Humeau
- Wings: Joshua Uduje, Hugo Boumpoutou and Arthur Bruyas
- Power forwards: Carlos Pepin and Ludovic Dufeal
