Player Profile

When Mason Jones first picked up a basketball in his senior year of high school, few would have imagined he would become one of the most prolific scorers in Arkansas history. That late introduction to the game at Triple A Academy in Dallas was, however, just the beginning of a remarkable rise.

After an intensive prep year at Link Year Prep in Missouri, where he transformed his body to become a better athlete, Jones began his college journey at Connors State College before joining the Arkansas Razorbacks. It was there that his offensive talent truly blossomed. Quickly becoming one of the team's primary scorers, he reached the 1,000 career points milestone faster than almost any of his predecessors in program history.

The season that truly made an impression was the one in which Jones became the first Arkansas player to score at least 30 points in three consecutive games. Even more impressive, his multiple 40-point performances placed him in a very exclusive SEC club, alongside legends such as Shaquille O'Neal and Jodie Meeks.

Undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft, Jones turned that disappointment into motivation. His professional journey has taken him from the Houston Rockets to the Philadelphia 76ers, with stops along the way with the Los Angeles Lakers and international stints with the Mexico City Capitanes and Darüşşafaka. Now on a two-way contract with the Sacramento Kings and their G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, Jones continues to refine his game with the same determination that took him from high school to professional courts.
