Player Profile
When Kevin Knox II stepped onto the Barclays Center floor in June 2018, sporting a Fortnite-themed suit at the NBA Draft, few could have guessed that this nod to gaming culture concealed an already eventful journey for the 19-year-old.
Born in Phoenix, Knox first made his mark on the football field at Tampa Catholic High School in Florida, before dedicating himself exclusively to basketball in his freshman year. The transition paid off: averaging over 28 points and 11 rebounds per game, the forward carried his team into the playoff stages while drawing the attention of national recruiters.
Ranked among the top five recruits in the country, Knox chose the University of Kentucky to sharpen his game. A starter from his very first season, he led the team in scoring and contributed to their SEC Tournament victory, cementing his status as a top NBA prospect.
Selected 9th overall by the New York Knicks, Knox embarked on a professional career that took him through several franchises. His versatility allows him to play both power forward and small forward, using his 6'8" frame to create offensive mismatches. His performances with Team USA youth teams, crowned with gold medals, speak to his international potential.
Now a member of the Golden State Warriors, Knox continues to refine his game within one of the most respected organizations in the league, looking to turn his raw talent into a lasting impact on NBA courts.
