Player Profile

When Frank Kaminsky was a child, he attended Chicago Bulls practices alongside Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman — a rare privilege made possible by his aunt and uncle, who both worked for the franchise. This early closeness to basketball's elite undoubtedly fueled the ambitions of the future big man, who was born into a family of athletes where both his father and mother had already excelled in college sports.

With roots in Chicago's Serbian community through his Polish and Serbian heritage, Kaminsky grew up juggling two passions: basketball and the Chicago White Sox. The charismatic personality and sense of humor that still define his interactions with fans and the media today were already evident during his years at Benet Academy in Lisle. His outstanding high school performances even earned his number 44 jersey a retirement ceremony in 2017.

It was at the University of Wisconsin (2011–2015) that Kaminsky truly established himself as a legend, leaving a lasting mark on the program's history. His college years paved the way for an NBA career that took him all the way to the Finals with the Phoenix Suns, proving his ability to perform at the highest level.

After playing for several NBA franchises, the big man is now continuing his career with the Raptors 905 in the G League. At 31, Kaminsky keeps bringing his experience and versatility to the court, while holding on to the likable personality that makes him much more than just a basketball player.
