Player Profile

When Dillon Jones steps onto an NBA court, few people realize he has just made history by becoming the first player from the Big Sky Conference to win an NBA title. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, he carved out an unconventional path to the top of professional basketball.

After a promising start at Keenan High School, where he already showcased his versatility with averages of 12.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, Jones headed to Kansas for his senior year at Sunrise Christian Academy. But it was at Weber State University that the 6'5", 236-pound forward truly broke out, becoming a local legend thanks to his exceptional statistics.

Jones accomplished the unthinkable by becoming the only player in Big Sky Conference history to compile at least 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 assists, and 200 steals over a college career. That remarkable versatility earned him a spot in the 2024 NBA Draft, where Washington selected him 26th overall before trading him to Oklahoma City.

His rookie season turned into a fairy tale: 54 regular-season games and an NBA championship ring in his very first year. Jones became only the tenth player trained at a Utah university to win an NBA title, proving that unconventional roads can lead to the greatest success. Wearing number 3, he now stands as living proof that collegiate excellence and professional achievement can go hand in hand.
