Player Profile
Chris Clemons is an American scoring point guard/shooting guard.
A small combo-guard, Chris Clemons played in the NBA with Houston in 2019-2020 for his first professional season. Appearing 33 times in regular season and twice in playoffs, he made his presence felt with the Rockets. His scoring ability allowed him to average 4.9 points on 40.1% shooting in less than 9 minutes. This scoring talent was previously demonstrated in NCAA where he was Division I's leading scorer in 2018-2019 with Campbell (30.1 points per game).
After suffering an Achilles tendon rupture in December 2020 before his second NBA season, the Raleigh (North Carolina) native was not retained by Houston. He then revived his career with the Maine Celtics and set a G-League record by scoring 27 points on 9/9 shooting in a single quarter. In 2022-2023, Chris Clemons had his first overseas experience in China with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers. Averaging 17.9 points on 38.7% shooting in just 21 minutes, he returned to the G-League this season with the Windy City Bulls. Released on February 1st after 16 games, mostly coming off the bench, the Big South Player of the Year 2018-2019 averaged 16.4 points on 38.6% shooting (31.7% from 3-point), 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 31 minutes. Having explored the NBA's development league thoroughly, he decided to try his luck in Europe by joining SLUC Nancy in February 2024.
