After five consecutive losses, the Phoenix Suns found their way back to victory by dominating the Toronto Raptors 120-98 on Sunday night. A complete team performance that allows Phoenix to secure its 40th win of the season, already four more than last season with ten games still to play.
The Suns were never trailing and took control from the first quarter with an 18-point lead at halftime. They then extended the gap to a 31-point advantage, never allowing Toronto back into the game.

A collective victory despite a depleted roster
Devin Booker led the Suns’ offense with 25 points on 9/15 shooting, including 3/6 from three-point range, adding six assists. Jalen Green pitched in with 20 points, while Collin Gillespie contributed 16 points. Phoenix’s bench also stood out with Ryan Dunn (12 points) and rookie Rasheer Fleming (11 points).
This performance is even more impressive as the Suns were playing with a significantly reduced roster. Royce O’Neale (knee), Grayson Allen (knee), Dillon Brooks (hand) and Mark Williams (foot) were all DNP’s (injury), forcing coach Jordan Ott to dig into his bench.
« We just want everyone back, » Ott had said after the loss to the Bucks. « Finding a rhythm would be a blessing. That’s what we’d like to do. »
For Toronto, Scottie Barnes finished as the leading scorer with 17 points, followed by R.J. Barrett and Ja’Kobe Walter with 13 points each. The Raptors, who had been on a positive streak, suffered their second consecutive loss and saw their 5th place position in the East weakened.
Phoenix dominated the game thanks to remarkable three-point shooting (45% accuracy) and consistent collective effort. The Suns particularly shined in the first half by shooting 8/12 from deep in the first quarter, quickly taking control of the contest.
This victory allows the Suns to consolidate their 7th place in the West with a 40-32 record, maintaining a four-game lead over the Trail Blazers in the play-in race. Phoenix will host Denver on Tuesday night to continue this homestand, while Toronto will travel to Utah on Monday.
