Paul-Mathis Djobet (6’7″, 20 years old), who was expected to join UAB for his third college season, will not be wearing the Blazers’ colors after all. The former Miami player has decided to decommit from Andy Kennedy’s program and is now looking for a new destination.

According to League Ready, Paul Djobet has officially reopened his recruitment after initially committing to UAB. The French shooting guard/small forward had left Miami after spending two seasons with the Florida program. During his sophomore year, he averaged 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, with limited playing time in a struggling team.
A former four-star prospect according to American rankings, Paul Djobet attracted attention upon his arrival in the United States thanks to his athletic and defensive abilities.
This reversal could renew interest from several NCAA programs. Versatile, the former Le Mans and Gravelines-Dunkerque player can play both shooting guard and small forward positions, with a defensive profile that appeals in NCAA. His potential remains intact, and he could benefit from an environment where he would be given a clearer role.
It remains to be seen which conference or style of play the Lille native, still very young, will choose to revitalize his career.
