The Indiana Pacers ended their four-game losing streak with a 137-134 overtime victory against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. A spectacular game that lived up to all expectations with a season-high 39 lead changes.

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers’ offense with 30 points, well supported by Andrew Nembhard who contributed 24 points and 10 assists. Indiana’s bench depth made the difference with eight players scoring 10 or more points.

A Thrilling Finish After Controlled Overtime

The Pacers took control at the start of overtime by scoring the first nine points. But the Knicks, led by an exceptional Jalen Brunson with 40 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds, refused to give up. Josh Hart recorded his second triple-double of the season with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

Karl-Anthony Towns forced overtime with two clutch free throws at the line with 0.2 seconds left, capitalizing on a foul by Aaron Nesmith. But the Knicks’ big man didn’t see it through, fouling out with 2:14 remaining in the extra period after finishing with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Despite holding a nine-point cushion with under a minute to play, the Indiana Pacers still had to grind it out. The New York Knicks cut it to one in the final seconds, capitalizing on an Aaron Nesmith turnover and two missed free throws from Pascal Siakam. Quenton Jackson finally iced it at the line.

The win only adds to Indiana’s odd recent success at Madison Square Garden, where the Indiana Pacers have now taken four of their last six visits—despite managing just three road wins all season in 25 tries. For the New York Knicks, it marked only a seventh home loss in 28 games, a rare slip for a team that still owns the NBA’s second-best home record with 21 victories.
