Olympiacos has officially clinched first place in the EuroLeague regular season with an 85-76 win over Olimpia Milan in the 38th and final round. This home victory in Piraeus allows the Greeks to finish with a record of 26 wins and 12 losses, securing the top seed heading into the playoffs.

« We finished in first place for the third time in the last four seasons, and that says a lot about this team », said head coach Giorgos Bartzokas after the final buzzer. This performance confirms the impressive consistency of Olympiacos at the highest level of European basketball.

Vezenkov and Dorsey Lead the Greek Offense

Likely MVP of the season, Sasha Vezenkov spearheaded the victory with 20 points and 4 rebounds, supported by Tyler Dorsey who added 18 points. In the paint, Donta Hall (14 points) and Nikola Milutinov (13 points and 15 rebounds) dominated the game. Evan Fournier added 6 points on 2/7 shooting, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 3 steals and 4 turnovers in 14 minutes. Moustapha Fall played only 1 minute and 23 seconds. Frank Ntilikina was not on the game sheet.

On the Milan side, Shavon Shields tried to keep his team afloat with 24 points, aided by the 13 points from Armoni Brooks.

The game remained tight until halftime, with only a two-point gap (47-45) in favor of the home side. But Olympiacos stepped on the gas in the second half, extending the lead to as many as 20 points (79-59). Despite a late comeback attempt by the Italians, they were unable to avoid defeat in Greece.

Olimpia Milan ends this EuroLeague regular season with a disappointing record of 17 wins and 21 losses, finishing in 14th place and missing the playoffs. For Olympiacos, this first-place finish is a valuable advantage for the rest of the competition, with home-court advantage during the playoff rounds.
