Before hosting SIG Strasbourg, Nicolas Lang (1.96 m, 35 years old) reflected on the last two games against Monaco and Chalon-sur-Saône. Injured, the Limoges CSP captain was not on the court in Monaco but followed the game from afar.

« It’s difficult to judge based on a game like that. It’s not the same level. It’s not the same sport in the end, I think. Even when we came back at the end, they didn’t put their starters back in and played the whole game with full confidence. It’s not the same level of roster and that’s why it’s very difficult to analyze that. »

The Alsatian also reflected on his team’s strong performance against Chalon-sur-Saône on Saturday, January 10. A game that allowed CSP to start the year 2026 with a victory, after a particularly difficult end to 2025.

« We didn’t start the game very well but we had a very good second quarter. As soon as we could put their heads underwater, we did it. And even when we had a small drop in intensity in the second half, we already had an 18-point lead so they never came back too close, even though they got within 8 points. We really brought great intensity in the second quarter. »

« I’ve never seen this »

Nicolas Lang, on the Limoges CSP injury series

CSP has only been able to play two games with its full roster since the start of this season. Nicolas Lang, back in competition, shares his veteran perspective:

« I’ve never seen this. But I don’t believe in bad luck. It is what it is, these things happen. We’re not the only team with injuries. Strasbourg is going to win at Bourg-en-Bresse even though they have a very important player who is suspended (Marcus Keene) and another who is injured. They put 20 points on Gravelines with Abdou Ndoye still out of the lineup, as well as Gabe Brown. So in the end, teams that have good championships are able to adapt and maintain a certain identity to win games even when they’re not at full strength. »

This Friday evening, starting at 8:30 PM, Limoges CSP will attempt to secure its second victory of 2026 at Beaublanc, against Strasbourg.
