This Saturday evening, against Bourg-en-Bresse, Nicolas Lang (1.96m, 35 years old) will reach a new symbolic milestone with Limoges CSP. The French international shooting guard/small forward will play his 222nd game in the green jersey. He thus equals Stéphane Ostrowski, an absolute reference in the club’s history, as the second most-capped player in Limoges history.

Nicolas Lang, an iconic CSP player

Having joined Limoges CSP in 2019, Nicolas Lang is starting his 7th consecutive season with the club. Still captain, he embodies stability and loyalty to the institution. This game against Bourg-en-Bresse will also mark his 18th professional season in Betclic ELITE and his 513th game in the French championship.

A career that commands respect

Before settling permanently at Beaublanc, Nicolas Lang wore the colors of Chalon-sur-Saône, Strasbourg, ASVEL, and Paris-Levallois. However, it’s with CSP that he has built most of his legacy, becoming over the seasons an essential figure in the locker room and a leader on the court. His longevity and commitment have earned him a special place in the hearts of Limoges supporters.

Behind Ostrowski, aiming for the top

With this 222nd game, Lang equals Ostrowski. Only one other player stands ahead of him in Limoges’ appearance records. The CSP guard could, this season, take sole possession of second place and ultimately aim for the top spot in this symbolic ranking. A way to leave a lasting mark in a historic French basketball club. Richard Dacoury, who played for the club between 1978 and 1996, remains firmly at No. 1.
