Jaren Jackson Jr. leads the offensive charge

Memphis Grizzlies set the tone early behind its primary scorer Jaren Jackson Jr., who finished with 30 points, with Ty Jerome adding 19. The offense was balanced throughout, with six Grizzlies reaching at least 15 points, including Jaylen Wells (18) and Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. (16 apiece).

The separation came in the first half, driven by shot-making from the perimeter. After struggling from three in their previous game, Memphis flipped the script, hitting eight of 15 attempts in the opening period. That surge helped build a 14-point cushion and carried into a 66–58 lead at the break.

Minnesota unable to close the gap despite Edwards

Anthony Edwards delivered an exceptional performance with 39 points and 7 rebounds, supported by Jaden McDaniels (29 points) and Donte DiVincenzo (21 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter). Despite these remarkable individual efforts, the Minnesota Timberwolves never managed to get within 9 points of their opponent.

Memphis maintained its lead throughout the second period, leading 98-86 after three quarters. The Grizzlies even extended their advantage to 20 points (109-89) early in the final period by converting their first four shots, including three 3-pointers. This victory ends the Timberwolves’ four-game winning streak, who had dominated Memphis 131-114 in their previous meeting on Saturday.

Both teams will play Wednesday for their next game: Minnesota will travel to Toronto while Memphis will begin a five-game road trip in Sacramento.
