Amicale Dominates Late to Eliminate Esch
The matchup between Amicale Steinsel and Basket Esch took a decisive turn in the fourth quarter. With the game hanging in the balance, Amicale accelerated at the crucial moment to secure a 79-65 victory, dominating the final period 32-19.
Malcolm Richardson was the driving force behind Amicale’s triumph, finishing with 24 points and providing the offensive reliability his team needed in crunch time. Sean Bugeja, coming off the bench, added 11 crucial points. Basket Esch could not withstand Amicale’s late surge and exits the competition.

Sparta Takes Control Early, Cruises Past Walfer
Sparta Bertrange, meanwhile, gave Résidence Walfer little chance, seizing control from the opening minutes. Led by a scorching Yannick Verbeelen—who connected on four three-pointers in the first half alone—the Bertragnois built a commanding 44-27 halftime lead.
Résidence Walfer never truly threatened to mount a comeback. Victor Iwuakor capped off Sparta’s balanced team effort with 20 points in an 80-69 victory. The series concludes 2-1 in favor of Bertrange, who will face T71 Dudelange in the semi-finals.

Two semi-final matchups are now confirmed. Sparta Bertrange will battle T71 Dudelange, while Amicale Steesel awaits the winner of Sunday’s Etzella Ettelbruck versus Kordall Steelers showdown.
On the women’s side, Sparta forced a decisive game 3 after defeating AB Contern 74-61 in game 2 of their semi-final series. In men’s play-down action, Racing Luxembourg dominated AB Contern 95-82 in game day 2, with Antonio Bivins leading the way with 35 points.
