Vincent Amsellem will not be joining Hapoel Holon in Israel. Despite reported interest from the local press, the guard/point guard from Antibes will stay with Limoges CSP for next season according to Le Populaire du Centre. Meanwhile, Mo Diarra will indeed leave the club for Cholet Basket, with a transfer fee of around 70,000 euros, continues the local newspaper.

Mohamed Diarra leaves Limoges for Cholet

One season and gone. Mohamed Diarra (2.07m, 23 years old) at Limoges CSP is coming to an end. After Alexandre Chassang, this is the second interior player from the 2024-2025 roster to leave. The club from Les Mauges, Cholet Basket, will pay around 70,000 euros to secure the services of the interior player, who will compete in the BCL in 2024-2025. Initially protected by an exit clause valid only for a EuroLeague departure, Mo Diarra still received the green light from CSP to leave for Cholet, provided an equivalent sum was paid.

The player, who had been targeted by franchises to participate in the Summer League, reportedly decided to postpone this opportunity to focus on his upcoming BCL season.

Vincent Amsellem stays put

While Mo Diarra packs his bags, Vincent Amsellem (1.92m, 23 years old) stays. The point guard/shooting guard, who averaged 5.4 points and 2.5 assists in 15 minutes this season, was mentioned by the Israeli press as a target for Hapoel Holon, due to his Jewish background. Like another Côte d’Azur native before him, Frédéric Bourdillon, he could have been considered a local player in the Winner League. In 2022, he represented France at the Maccabiah Games.

But the interest won’t go any further: « Vincent Amsellem will indeed be with Limoges at the restart, » states Le Populaire du Centre. A choice that brings some stability to a roster under reconstruction after several departures.
