Le Mans thought Trevor Hudgins’ extension was impossible

Betclic ELITE - Trevor Hudgins will indeed stay with Le Mans Sarthe Basket for the 2025-2026 season. An extension that MSB management deemed improbable, as the American point guard seemed destined for EuroLeague and higher financial offers.

Le Mans Sarthe Basket pulled off one of the summer’s biggest moves by successfully extending Trevor Hudgins (1.80m, 26 years old). MSB management themselves admit they didn’t imagine their American point guard would continue the adventure.

Hudgins, Le Mans’ transfer market surprise

During the season opening press conference, president Christophe Le Bouille didn’t hide his surprise to see Trevor Hudgins staying with the club after his successful second season with MSB. « Honestly, I found it hard to believe. Particularly because he was going to have contacts with EuroLeague teams, with significant financial stakes that we couldn’t have matched, » he explained in Ouest-France.

Sports Director Vincent Loriot confirmed the difficulty of this extension: « I was also, initially, on the same wavelength as Christophe. When we went for it, we quickly agreed, and we finalized everything in about a week. But honestly, I didn’t believe it would happen. »

For his part, coach Guillaume Vizade is delighted to continue relying on his offensive leader: « Trevor is an essential piece of the game, and having leaders with this kind of behavior perfectly matches the MSB house. »

By keeping Hudgins, Le Mans secures a major element of its roster for the 2025-2026 season and sends a strong signal to the Betclic ELITE: MSB will remain a force to be reckoned with in the months to come.
