The Los Angeles Clippers delivered their best offensive performance of the season by crushing the Minnesota Timberwolves 153-128 Wednesday in Inglewood. This victory marks the third consecutive win for the Clippers, who are climbing back after a disastrous start to the season.

Kawhi Leonard was the main architect of the demolition with 45 points scored and remarkable efficiency. The LA Clippers superstar made 15 of his 20 field goal attempts, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, and 9 of 10 from the free throw line. This exceptional individual performance perfectly illustrates the Los Angeles revival.

A spectacular rise in the Western Conference standings

Eighth in the Western Conference with a record of 33 wins and 32 losses, the Clippers finally cross the symbolic 50% win mark. A remarkable achievement when remembering their catastrophic start to the season with only 6 wins in 27 games.

The Clippers offense operated at full throttle with 19 three-pointers made on 37 attempts. Benedict Mathurin contributed 22 points, while new addition Darius Garland added 21 points and five 3-pointers. This offensive depth allows the Clippers to confidently approach the rest of their five-game homestand.

On the Timberwolves side, Anthony Edwards scored 36 points and Naz Reid 18, but it wasn’t enough against the opposing offensive onslaught. Minnesota, sixth in the West, is on a third consecutive loss after winning five games in a row. The Timberwolves remain just half a game behind the Lakers, third in the conference.

Leonard set the tone from the first quarter with 18 points, allowing the Clippers to take the lead 38-27. At halftime, he already had 28 points for a 74-65 advantage. The Clippers definitively sealed the outcome in the final quarter, winning it 44-30, confirming their excellent current form with six wins in seven games.
