Desmond Bane leads Orlando Magic’s comeback against Raptors 130-120
The Orlando Magic secured a spectacular victory over the Toronto Raptors (130-120) thanks to an exceptional performance by Desmond Bane in crunch time. The guard scored 16 of his 32 total points in the fourth quarter, allowing his team to erase a 13-point deficit and win at home.
A comeback orchestrated by Bane in the final act
Trailing by 14 points at the end of the third quarter, the Orlando players found the necessary resources to turn the situation around. Desmond Bane was decisive by hitting three consecutive shots, including several 3-pointers, during a crucial stretch that allowed the Magic to pull away after a tie score at 104-104.
Paolo Banchero also contributed with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, while Wendell Carter Jr. added 23 points and 7 rebounds. Anthony Black shined with 25 points and 6 assists, actively participating in this second consecutive victory after four straight losses. Noah Penda contributed only 3 rebounds in 6 minutes.
On the Raptors side, Brandon Ingram delivered a remarkable performance with 35 points, but it wasn’t enough. Scottie Barnes added 19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. The two players had led a 19-8 run at the end of the third quarter to give Toronto the advantage (99-86).
Three-point shooting made the difference for Orlando, which converted 17 of its 34 attempts from long range, including 6 makes on 9 attempts in the fourth quarter. Conversely, Toronto only found the mark 5 times on 18 three-point attempts, despite a respectable overall shooting percentage of 51.2%. The Raptors only made 5 of their 18 shots in the final period, sealing their defeat despite a streak of four consecutive road victories.
