Daniel Batcho signs Exhibit 10 with Sacramento

Texas Tech’s forward Daniel Batcho (12) rebounds the ball against West Virginia in the first round of the Big 12 basketball tournament, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
Daniel Batcho (6’11 », 23) continues his American dream. The French center, who played for Charenton, INSEP and NCAA, has officially signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Sacramento Kings. After a summer marked by his first Summer League appearance, he is expected to start the season in G-League with the Stockton Kings.
A clear choice for the future
Daniel Batcho had several options but chose to stay in the United States. As announced, the center declined European opportunities to try establishing himself in the NBA environment.
Present with the Kings during Summer League, he had limited playing time (8 points in 7 minutes in his only appearance), but it was enough to convince the California franchise to invite him to training camp.
According to journalist James Ham, « the Kings plan to sign Jameer Nelson Jr., Jaylin Williams and Daniel Batcho to Exhibit 10 contracts. The idea is to have them play this season with Stockton. »
The Stockton Kings acquired Nelson Jr.’s returning player rights earlier this week. Batcho was part of the Kings’ summer league roster. Sacramento’s roster now stands at the league max of 21 players heading into training camp.

From Charenton to Louisiana Tech, an unconventional path
Discovered very early, Batcho was U16 European champion in 2017 a year ahead of schedule, before suffering an ACL tear in the quarterfinals of the 2018 U16 EuroBasket. After returning to high-level basketball, he was named MVP of the Belgrade ANGT tournament in January 2020 with INSEP.
After moving to the United States, he first had a redshirt season at Arizona, then two seasons at Texas Tech where he built a reputation as a rim protector (1.5 blocks per game in 2022-2023). Finally, he flourished at Louisiana Tech these past two years: 16.7 points on 68.9% shooting, 6.4 rebounds and 2 blocks in less than 28 minutes in 2024-2025.
Though undrafted this past June, he still has a chance with Sacramento. He’ll join another French center from Charenton, Maxime Raynaud, in California.
NBA goal via G-League
The Exhibit 10 contract signed by Batcho allows the franchise to assign him to their G-League affiliate after preseason camp. That’s where he’ll have the opportunity to continue his development, hoping to get closer to his NBA dream.
