Chris Babb, the surprise return that gives hope to BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque

Betclic ELITE - Absent since the start of the season, Chris Babb will return to competition this Friday evening during the match between BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque and Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball. A significant reinforcement for the Maritime team, still looking for their first victory in Betclic ELITE.

BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque can breathe. Before facing Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball in the opening of the 4th day of Betclic ELITE, the northern club announced the return of Chris Babb (1.96 m, 35 years). The American shooting guard, a true offensive pillar for BCM last season, had not yet been able to start the 2025-2026 season due to medical treatment received in the United States. His return comes at the perfect time for a club struggling at the start of the championship.

Green light awaited for the American shooter

After long uncertainty, Chris Babb finally received authorization to play again, after missing three games. BCM’s top scorer from last season (14.8 points per game) will be able to resume playing against SQBB.

The former NBA player (Boston Celtics) hasn’t played an official game since May 10th. His return will be closely monitored by Jean-Christophe Prat, who hopes to quickly recover his main offensive asset.

Gravelines aims to restart their season against Saint-Quentin

Without a win after three games, BCM needed to find a second wind before facing Saint-Quentin, another struggling team at the start of the season. Babb’s contribution could be decisive in a match already crucial for survival.

Missing summer preparation, the American veteran will nevertheless need to quickly find his rhythm in the championship. And against SQBB, history is on his side: Babb has often shined there, as if the match atmosphere galvanized his shooting accuracy.
