Looking for reinforcements for the 2025-2026 season, Cholet Basket is making moves in the French market. The club notably wants to attract Digué Diawara, Le Portel’s wing, who could reunite with his former partner Bastien Vautier at Cholet. But that’s not all: CB is also keeping a close eye on Shannon Bogues, Pro B’s foreign revelation with Alliance Sport Alsace.

Digué Diawara to reunite with Vautier

After a convincing first season, Bastien Vautier is already part of the Cholet roster. To strengthen its wings, Cholet is interested in one of his former teammates, Digué Diawara (2.04m, 26 years old), who had a strong 2024-2025 campaign with Le Portel. In the Betclic ELITE championship, the wing is averaging 11.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1 assist after 26 games. He also stood out in FIBA Europe Cup, with 10.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on the continental stage.

Having played at Quimper where he met Vautier again – after being teammates in French youth teams – Diawara has confirmed his potential these past two seasons in the North. His arrival would allow Cholet to strengthen its perimeter while capitalizing on existing chemistry with Vautier.

Shannon Bogues, the Pro B prospect

Meanwhile, CB is also interested in a very different profile: Shannon Bogues (1.90m, 28 years old), American shooting guard from Alliance Sport Alsace. A true scoring machine, he’s averaging 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 34 Pro B games this season.

After playing NCAA basketball at Stephen F. Austin, followed by G-League and several European countries, Bogues has established himself in Alsace as one of the most dangerous guards in the league. His explosiveness, one-on-one skills, and shot-creating ability make him a prime target for several elite clubs.

Cholet, looking for offensive creativity in the backcourt, is in the running, although there is real competition for his signature.
