Betclic ELITE – MVP Ladder: Élie Okobo Takes Control at the Break

At mid-season in Betclic ELITE, hierarchies are beginning to take shape. Monaco is at the top, several teams remain in contention, and the MVP race is becoming much clearer compared to our first checkpoint. Between consistency, statistical efficiency and collective impact, our second MVP Ladder reshuffles certain cards, with a logical new leader.
Élie Okobo, the Boss of the Best Team
With only six games played, Mike James is still out of the race in our ranking logic. The spot therefore naturally goes to Élie Okobo (6’3″, 28 years old), best player on the best team. The AS Monaco guard/point guard checks all the boxes: controlled volume, exceptional efficiency and constant influence on results.
In 13 games, the Bordeaux native averages 17 points per game at 60.4% shooting, an exceptional figure for a perimeter player, with 3.6 assists in less than 24 minutes. His true shooting percentage of 76.7% places him 4th in the championship. Monaco is the leader, Okobo is consistent every night, the choice is clear at the break.
Mathis Dossou-Yovo, the Rising Force
Behind Okobo, Mathis Dossou-Yovo (6’9″, 25 years old) delivered an impressive end to 2025. His performances against Monaco, Nancy and then Paris left their mark and strengthened his status in the race.
With Nanterre, the big man posts 18.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in 14 Betclic ELITE matches. His offensive consistency, rebounding presence and efficiency near the rim make him one of the most dominant players in the championship at his position. On a top 3 team, his collective impact carries weight.
Nadir Hifi Completes the Podium
Leader of our first MVP Ladder, Nadir Hifi (6’1″, 23 years old) drops to third place this time. Not due to individual underperformance, but because of the rise of Okobo and Dossou-Yovo, combined with more mixed results from Paris.
His numbers remain exceptional however: 21 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in just 11 games, all in less than 21 minutes per game. Still a spectacular output, but slightly less valued collectively at the break.
Adam Mokoka, the Explosive Entry into the Top 5
Fifth in this MVP Ladder, Adam Mokoka (6’5″, 27 years old) is one of the big winners of this break. The French guard finished 2025 at an exceptional level, particularly during his team’s victories against two EuroLeague teams, Monaco and ASVEL.
His contribution goes far beyond raw numbers. With 12.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 13 games, Mokoka establishes himself above all as an elite defender, capable of swinging games through his intensity, versatility and leadership. A total impact on both ends of the floor that fully justifies his place in the Top 5.
The Pack: Strasbourg in Force, Nancy and Chalon Represented
Behind the top trio, the battle is fierce. In Strasbourg, second best momentum in the championship with 9 wins, two profiles stand out. The best rebounder in Betclic ELITE, Nelly Joseph (6’8″, 24 years old), impresses with 13.7 points and 9.4 rebounds in 12 games, while point guard Marcus Keene (5’9″, 30 years old) remains the offensive metronome with 6.2 assists per game. We preferred them to Mike Davis Jr. (6’4″, 29 years old) and Gabe Brown (6’7″, 25 years old), but only slightly.
In Nancy, despite a negative record, impossible to ignore Landers Nolley II (6’7″, 25 years old), third leading scorer in the championship with 20.5 points per game, to which he adds 4.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
Chalon also places its leader in the discussion with Jeremiah Hill (6’2″, 30 years old), offensive engine and primary creator for Élan, valuable in late-game situations.
The Credible Outsiders
The battle for the top 10 remains open. Trevor Hudgins (5’11 », 26 years old) continues to carry Le Mans offensively, Gregor Hrovat (6’5″, 31 years old) remains Dijon’s major asset, Angelo Warner (6’2″, 33 years old) keeps Boulazac afloat, while Gerald Ayayi (6’3″, 24 years old) establishes himself as a pillar of Cholet.
