Benoit Mangin (1.89m, 37 years old), who spent thirteen seasons at ESSM Le Portel and joined STB Le Havre in summer 2024 to help the club return to Pro B (ELITE 2), is leaving the Norman team. The French point guard and STB have mutually agreed to end their collaboration, as announced by the club this Saturday.

A season marked by injuries

Although Le Havre remained competitive in 2024-2025 in Nationale 1, fighting for promotion until the end, Benoit Mangin’s journey was disrupted by injuries. He only played 19 games, averaging just 4.3 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

A departure after just one season

Arriving with a solid Betclic ELITE resume, including All-Star Game selections, Benoit Mangin was expected to bring his experience to Lauriane Dolt’s team. After thirteen seasons at Le Portel, his stint at Le Havre will be shorter than expected. Saint Thomas will receive a good budget to replace him at point guard.
