A remarkable international training background
Yauhen Massalski began his training in Belarus before joining the prestigious youth academy of Lithuanian club Rytas Vilnius during his youth. His notable performances in U18 EuroLeague tournaments (ANGT) opened doors to the United States, where he enrolled at the University of San Diego.
After three seasons in Southern California, the young center continued his education at the University of San Francisco. It was during his final college year that he truly emerged, establishing himself as one of the best rebounders and defenders in the WCC conference with impressive averages of 13.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.
Promising professional experience in G-League
Building on his collegiate performances, Yauhen Massalski launched his professional career in the G-League, the NBAβs development league. He first played with the Austin Spurs before joining the San Diego Clippers during the 2024-2025 season.
Despite limited playing time of 14 minutes per game, the Belarusian center posted solid statistics with averages of 4.1 points and 5.2 rebounds. His efficiency near the basket was particularly noteworthy with an excellent shooting percentage of 52.5%, demonstrating his finishing ability in the paint.
A mobile and active rebounder, Yauhen Massalski also possesses good defensive timing that should bring a new dimension to ASA, ELITE 2 playoff finalists. His profile complements the existing roster and strengthens Alsatian ambitions for what promises to be a very demanding season. Alliance Sport Alsace (ASA) is counting on this international recruit to strengthen their frontcourt and pursue their sporting objectives. He is the second Belarusian player to play in Alsace after Artsiom Parakhouski, who played for SIG Strasbourg in 2019-2020.
