FC Bayern Munich moved one step closer to the EasyCredit BBL title after claiming Game 3 of the Finals against ALBA Berlin. The Bavarians won convincingly, 91-83, and now hold a commanding 2-1 series lead over their longtime rivals.
Dimitrijevic and Lucic Lead Bayern’s Charge
The night belonged to Nenad Dimitrijevic, who delivered a sharp and efficient performance with 19 points and 7 assists in just over 23 minutes of action. The guard’s ability to both score and create for teammates proved crucial in keeping Bayern’s offense fluid throughout the contest.
Vladimir Lucic added a double-impact performance of 15 points and 7 rebounds, providing the kind of physical presence Bayern needed against a determined ALBA side. Andreas Obst chipped in 14 points in 31 minutes, offering reliable perimeter shooting, while Isiaha Mike contributed 10 points off a limited 20-minute stint. Justus Hollatz rounded out Bayern’s key contributors with 9 points and 4 assists.
ALBA Berlin Unable to Keep Pace
Despite a solid effort from their own roster, ALBA Berlin could not find enough firepower to match Bayern’s balanced attack. Jack Kayil led the way for the Berlin side with 17 points and 3 rebounds, but his production was not enough to swing the game in ALBA’s favor.
Justin Bean added 11 points and 3 assists, while Malte Delow posted 10 points and 5 rebounds to give Berlin some interior presence. Sam Griesel and Martin Hermannsson each contributed 9 points, with Hermannsson also distributing 3 assists, but the collective effort fell eight points short of Bayern’s total.
With the 2-1 series lead now in hand, FC Bayern Munich are firmly in the driver’s seat heading into Game 4. One more victory would hand the Bavarians the EasyCredit BBL championship and cap off what has been a dominant Finals run. ALBA Berlin, on the other hand, find themselves with their backs against the wall, needing to win the next game just to keep their title hopes alive.
