Basket Landes dominates Bourges and secures a final at Bercy

A controlled revenge against Bourges
Beaten by the same Tangos at this stage last year, Basket Landes flipped the script this time. In front of a fired-up crowd, the reigning French champs controlled most of the game, stretching the lead to as many as 20.
After a first half that was far too loose defensively (37 points allowed), Landes raised its level after the break. Point guard Marie Pardon told Sud-Ouest: “In the first half, we weren’t at our defensive standard at all. We adjusted, took it up a notch. We changed a few things at halftime, and offensively it clicked.”
The game swung in the third quarter. An unsportsmanlike foul, followed by a three, sparked a decisive 12–0 run (62–45), and the gap grew to 74–52 early in the fourth. Bourges, despite its league standing, never really threatened from there.
Intensity praised by the coaching staff
After the game, assistant coach Olivier Constant appreciated the team effort: “The result is perfect, yes. When you play Bourges, it’s always complicated. We knew it would be tough, but the players responded with commitment and intensity. We did a good job.”
He also pointed to the group’s consistency: “I’m impressed by the level of performance, the intensity, and the consistency. We’re showing up on all fronts, but we have to stay locked in on execution.”
Led by Marie Pardon and Murjanatu Musa, Landes continues to show it can handle a heavy schedule across league, EuroLeague, and French Cup play.
Gameday on April 25 at Bercy
The final will take place on Saturday, April 25 in Paris. Basket Landes will face the winner of Lattes Montpellier – Villeneuve-d’Ascq.
