A’ja Wilson (6’4″, 29 years old) continues her reign over the WNBA. The Aces’ franchise player, already crowned in 2020, 2022 and 2024, has won her fourth MVP trophy, becoming the only player to achieve such consistency.

A season of individual dominance

With impressive averages of 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists, Wilson (29) confirmed she is the absolute reference in the North American league. A two-time Olympic champion and already two-time WNBA champion with Las Vegas (2022 and 2023), she remains the face of the league.

Collier, 2021 LFB finalist finishes second

While she wasn’t named MVP, Napheesa Collier (6’1″, 29 years old) still had an outstanding season. Having played for Lattes-Montpellier in 2020-2021 and reaching the 2021 LFB playoffs finals, the American forward led the Minnesota Lynx to the best regular season record, which earned her second place in the MVP voting behind Wilson.

Wilson defeated in first semifinal game

Despite this new individual accolade, A’ja Wilson couldn’t prevent the Aces’ defeat on Sunday in the first game of their semifinal against Indiana (89-73). She still recorded a double-double (16 points on 6/22 shooting, 13 rebounds), but it wasn’t enough to avoid the loss.
