William Pfister expected at SIG Strasbourg next season

William Pfister (2.03m, 30 years old) will take on a new challenge next season. According to our sources, the Saint-Quentin center will join SIG Strasbourg, the club of his hometown. This is a great reward for this combative player, who progressed from National 1 with GET Vosges and Caen to the European stage with SQBB, and who will experience his first opportunity with a long-established Betclic ELITE team.
A homecoming for Pfister
Born in Strasbourg where he started playing basketball before moving to Lyon, William Pfister will return to his roots by joining SIG, after spending the last five seasons with Saint-Quentin. A pillar of the Picardy team promoted to the first division last year, he continued to fulfill his role as a team soldier in the elite league (4.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 27 Betclic ELITE games this season).
Solid in the less glamorous tasks, Pfister also got a taste of the Basketball Champions League (2.9 points and 4 rebounds in 9 games), continuing his impressive progression since his professional debut in National 1 with GET Vosges and then Caen. He had left the Norman club in summer 2020 thanks to a no-promotion clause, and immediately established himself at SQBB.
With this return to Strasbourg, the former NCAA player (St. Francis Brooklyn) will be able to play in front of his home crowd and attempt to reach new heights in his career with an ambitious team.
