Trevor Hudgins (5’11 », 26 years old) will continue wearing Le Mans Sarthe Basket colors in 2025-2026. The best three-point shooter in the league and Leaders Cup MVP has chosen to extend his contract with MSB, which he joined in November 2023. A major signing for the Sarthe club, which continues building an ambitious roster.

Hudgins, the sniper returns

Highly sought after this summer following a high-level season, Trevor Hudgins ultimately chose to stay loyal to Le Mans. Wrongly reported to be in contact with Paris Basketball, the point guard’s name circulated in several rumors before MSB officially announced his extension this Monday. And this time, it’s real.

Arriving mid-season 2023-2024 to replace Nate Mason, the former G-League player quickly established himself as the offensive leader of Guillaume Vizade’s team. The best long-range shooter in Betclic ELITE (3.3 three-pointers per game at 43.5%), he averaged 15.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in the championship, and was brilliant in the Leaders Cup (20.7 points, 4.3 assists in three games), earning the MVP title.

MSB made a convincing case

While his profile attracted several French and European clubs, Le Mans wasn’t the favorite to retain their point guard. But MSB made the effort to convince Hudgins, who accepted the Sarthe club’s offer this weekend. « Many might have considered it a futile dream, » said Guillaume Vizade, « but that was to overlook Trevor’s values and his attachment to the club. »

This attachment to MSB, the staff, his teammates and the local community played a key role. « I’m very excited to return to Le Mans, » Hudgins stated in the club’s press release. « It’s a great opportunity to continue growing with my teammates and staff. I can’t wait to get back to Antarès. »

A roster already well advanced

With this extension, MSB now has nine professional players under contract for next season: Trevor Hudgins, Shannon Bogues, Léopold Delaunay, David DiLeo, Ugo Doumbia, Lucas Duféal, Jonathan Jeanne, TaShawn Thomas, and Wilfried Yeguete. The Sarthe club is still looking for a shooting guard/small forward (Bosman, Cotonou or JFL) to complete its roster.

The goal of continuity is well underway for Le Mans, which intends to build on last season’s success and do even better in 2025-2026, with their chief marksman still at the helm.
