Brandon Ingram delivered an outstanding performance for Toronto, scoring 38 points for his personal season high. This offensive display helped the Raptors defeat the Miami Heat 128-114 in a crucial game for the Canadian team’s playoff ambitions.
Collin Murray-Boyles provided valuable support with 22 points, while Scottie Barnes (13 points) and Immanuel Quickley (11 points) also contributed to this collective victory that pushes Toronto to fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
Toronto Dominates Miami and Takes the Edge Over Atlanta
With this win, the Raptors overtake Atlanta in the standings. Both teams now share an identical record of 45 wins and 35 losses, but Toronto holds the tiebreaker thanks to their regular season series sweep over the Hawks.
For Miami, Bam Adebayo finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to prevent their tenth loss in 13 games. Davion Mitchell recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists, while Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. each scored 15 points.
Ingram’s performance proved decisive from the first half. The forward scored 13 points during a 24-6 Toronto run in the final minutes of the second quarter, allowing the Raptors to lead 69-50 at halftime. His free throw accuracy (10 of 11 in the first half) stood in stark contrast to the Heat‘s struggles (3 of 7).
Ingram also tied his season high with seven assists, showcasing his versatility. In the third quarter, despite nine three-pointers made by Miami, he kept Toronto‘s lead intact with 13 more points, allowing the Raptors to enter the fourth quarter with a 102-90 advantage.
This victory marks Toronto’s second consecutive home win over Miami in three days, completing a regular season series sweep for the third time in franchise history (after 2007-2008 and 2018-2019). The Raptors now head to New York to face the Knicks on Friday, while Miami will travel to Washington.
