While Paris Basketball brought in many talents from Telekom Baskets Bonn in 2023, this time a member of the capital club will be going the other way. Recommended by Tuomas Iisalo, Thomas Pennellier (24), U18 ELITE coach and former professional team staff member, will leave the capital club to become the second assistant of the German team.

The BBL, which is increasingly opening up to profiles from across the Rhine (sports director Kevin Anstett, individual trainer Nicolas Perez, physical trainer Samuel Covelli), welcomes this young coach from Yvelines, where he developed at Noisy-Bailly after playing for Elliott De Wit (Utah Tech, NCAA) in Versailles – where he later had an apprenticeship contract – in U15 regional.

In addition to leading the U18 ELITE to group A, Thomas Pennellier also coaches ES Massy Basketball, current leader of Pool F in National 3 men’s division. This won’t be his first experience abroad as he spent a year of immersion at Frank Phillips College, a Junior College in Texas, in 2019-2020.
